Itay Kadosh
Itay Kadosh is a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida, where he joined the GATAS Lab in 2026. His research interests are robotics, computer vision, and optimization.
In the lab he works on the coordination project, on the control and numerical side of CellularSheaves.jl, the package the group uses to pose multi-agent coordination problems as sheaves. His contributions there are the closed-loop model predictive control for multi-agent multi-target tracking, a distributed harmonic extension that spreads the sheaf Laplacian’s factorization across workers without approximating the answer, and a Tikhonov formulation that gives the tracking controller a stability argument. He also set up the package’s GPU continuous integration.
Before joining UF he studied computer science and applied mathematics at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he worked in the Intelligent Robotics and Vision Lab on autonomous exploration and semantic mapping.
